Welcome to my online costume shop! I have been creating and selling costumes online since 2008. Known on Etsy as elincp, Joyful by Design and Joyful by Design PLUS, I now offer all my designs in this one shop.   Thanks to my customers this business has grown into this website.  When our daughters were young we were involved with a local community theater.   I quickly became the costumer and enjoyed the challenge for several years. Some shows required over 60 costumes! When my mom developed Alzheimer’s I needed to be home to take care of her.  I decided I could put my sewing skills to work and started selling costumes online. 

I originally offered bloomers and pantaloons and chemises along with other historical costume pieces. (Can you tell we loved Little House on the Prairie in our homeschool?)  My customers are the source of inspiration for many new designs and costumes. I offer custom made sizes, colors and fabric for most of my designs. I look for fabrics that are natural and comfortable and designs that bring people joy.
